Uppsala: 2030 is meeting the place where you get a firm grasp on sustainability and ensure that your business is at the forefront. You gain knowledge, inspiration and solve problems together with Uppsala’s business life, academia and society. You can participate physically or digitally.
We want to strike a blow for Uppsala as a meeting place and source for new ideas and innovation. Uppsala is a strong brand in the world. Uppsala University ranks as the EU’s most sustainable university, both in terms of environmental impact and social impact. In collaboration with Uppsala University and our other sponsors, we want to position Uppsala as the city in the world where together we are leaders in circular and sustainable transition to a society where all people thrive. That is our vision.

- In order to reach the global sustainability goals at a local level in Uppsala, the challenge is to increase knowledge about sustainable development and create joint learning and collaboration between academia, business and society.

- Solution
- We created the meeting place Uppsala:2030 where researchers from the academy share their knowledge together with good examples from the business world. Together, we then take these lectures further in round-table discussions and workshops with the aim of giving all participants tools to influence their company’s sustainable transformation.
Uppsala:2030 is a non-profit association in collaboration with Uppsala University and Uppsala kommun.
